The Elizabethtown Area School District is pleased to announce that kindergarten registration for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year is now open.
Interested families are invited to register their eligible kindergarten-age children, an exciting milestone that marks the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning and discovery. Kindergarten-age is defined as having attained the chronological age of five years prior to September 1, 2024. With the registration period opening in January, it provides parents and guardians ample time to complete the necessary steps before the start of the school year.
To register a child for kindergarten, parents can visit the School District website at www.etownschools.org or contact the Student Enrollment Office at (717) 361-4893 for more information on the registration process. Ensuring that all required documentation, such as proof of residence, birth certificates, and immunization records, is submitted accurately and promptly is essential.
The District encourages families to register early. Early registration helps the District better plan for the upcoming school year, allocate resources effectively, and ensure a smooth transition for incoming kindergarten students. Please note, Kindergarten-age students shall be admitted to school up to and including the first two weeks of the annual school term.
"We are excited to welcome the newest members of our school community for the 2024-2025 school year," said Dr. Karen Nell, Superintendent of Schools. "Kindergarten is a crucial time for children to build a strong foundation for future learning, and we look forward to partnering with parents and guardians to create a positive and nurturing environment for our youngest learners."
