Trauma Counseling

The Elizabethtown Area School District partners with Empower the Mind to provide trauma counseling services for elementary students who have experienced significant life events or traumatic situations that may affect their emotional well-being and ability to learn.

Trauma counseling helps students process difficult experiences, develop healthy coping strategies, build resilience, and strengthen the social-emotional skills needed for success both in and out of the classroom. Services may be appropriate for students experiencing challenges related to the loss of a loved one, abuse, family crises, accidents, or other traumatic events.

By providing timely support in a safe and caring environment, the District seeks to help students heal, regain confidence, and remain engaged in their educational experience.
