Bear Bags Food Program

The Bear Bags program supports families of the Elizabethtown Area School District to provide nutritious food when school meals are not available.  Through this volunteer-led and community-funded program, students bring home a food-filled backpack on weekends.  Families can also choose to participate in monthly “Open Shop” events to obtain a larger selection, including refrigerated and frozen items.  Food is purchased through a partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
