Bear Bags Food Program

The Bear Bags Food Program helps ensure that students have access to nutritious food when school meals are not available on weekends and during school breaks. Through this volunteer-supported and community-funded program, eligible students receive a backpack filled with nutritious food to take home each weekend.

Families may also choose to participate in monthly Open Shop events, where they can select from a larger variety of food items, including refrigerated and frozen products. Food for the program is provided through a partnership with the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
