Attendance

Regular school attendance is essential to student success. The Elizabethtown Area School District encourages consistent attendance and works in partnership with families to ensure students receive the maximum benefit from their educational experience. District attendance procedures are administered in accordance with Pennsylvania's Compulsory School Attendance Law and Board policy.

The information below outlines attendance procedures, reporting requirements, excused and unexcused absences, educational trips, make-up work, and other attendance-related guidelines for students and families.

The District's Home & School Visitor works collaboratively with students, families, and school staff to promote regular attendance and help remove barriers that may affect student success. Families experiencing attendance concerns are encouraged to seek assistance as early as possible.

For questions regarding attendance or to discuss attendance-related concerns, please contact Kenneth Burke, Home & School Visitor, at (717) 367-1533 or kenneth_burke@etownschools.org.
