  • EASD Salutes Retiring Faculty and Staff

    Elizabethtown Area School District recently held its 2017 Staff Recognition and Retirement Banquet. In total, seven retiring faculty members and five retiring support professionals were saluted for their dedication and service to the district.

  • Bainbridge Elementary to hold community celebration

    Bainbridge Elementary School will hold a Community Celebration on Wednesday, May 31 from 6-8 p.m. The program will honor and celebrate the 83-year history of the school ahead of the major renovation project set to begin in June that will transform the building into a 21st-century learning center.

    Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Authority (LCSWMA) recently honored students from Bainbridge Elementary School with its Junior Master Recycling Certification for its school-wide recycling initiative.

  • Local leaders to take part in charity basketball game for Camp Ladybug

    The Elizabethtown Area School District and GEARS are teaming up to support Camp Ladybug, a camp for individuals who have mental and/or physical challenges. Now in its fifth year, the charity game has netted over $6,000 for local programs.

  • Bainbridge and Mill Road Elementary Schools hold “Souper Bowls”

    Bainbridge and Mill Road Elementary Schools recently held their annual "Souper Bowl" food drives to benefit the local food bank. The food drives are timed to coincide each year with National Football League’s Super Bowl and helps to restock the shelves of the local food pantry after the holiday season.

  • Bainbridge Elementary students model outfits constructed of recycled materials

    Bainbridge Elementary School second graders recently took to the runway for their very own fashion show where they modeled for family, friends, and schoolmates outfits they made from recycled materials.

  • EAHS art students share t-shirt designs and a book with elementary students

    Elizabethtown Area High School students in the artistic crafts and fibers class made t-shirts based on classic children’s book such as Curious George, The Cat in the Hat, and The Hungry Monster and presented the t-shirts to second graders from Bainbridge Elementary School.

    The faculty and administration of Elizabethtown Area High School recently took part in the national “Giving Tuesday” initiative, which is in response to the commercialism and consumerism of this time of year. Giving Tuesday is dedicated to giving back to your community.

  • Bainbridge Elementary Celebrates Diversity

    To help students better appreciate diversity and differences, Bainbridge Elementary first graders performed a seasonal short skit for their schoolmates, family, and friends making use of a Halloween favorite, the pumpkin.

  • EAHS hosting corn maze to benefit Four Diamonds Fund

    Elizabethtown Area High School’s Mini-Thon committee will be hosting a corn maze on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be held at Brubaker Farm, located at 1035 Union School Road in Mount Joy.

  • Bainbridge Elementary students tend to school garden

    Students from Bainbridge Elementary School, with the help of the school’s PTO, recently celebrated Garden Day by cleaning, weeding, and mulching the school’s science garden. The service learning project was connected to the school’s science curriculum on Life Cycles.

    Bainbridge Elementary School recently held “Fire Prevention Day” to stress the importance of being prepared in the event of an emergency. As part of the special program, representatives of the Bainbridge Fire Company Station 71 visited the school to share important safety tips.

  • EASD Celebrates Patriot Day

    On Friday, Sept. 9, students, faculty and staff across the Elizabethtown Area School District commemorated Patriot Day by dressing in red, white and blue attire. The observance paid respect to the 2,977 victims who were killed during the terrorist attacks as well as the countless injured.
