Spring Conferences - EAMS

February 25, 2019

Dear Parents and Guardians,

The goal of the Elizabethtown Area School District is for every student to graduate ready to live, learn, and thrive in a global community.  To help us accomplish this mission, we are firm believers that a strong partnership between our parents/guardians and faculty must exist.  As such, we are extremely pleased to announce that the district is offering parents/guardians of Elizabethtown Area Middle School students (grades 7-8) the opportunity for a Spring conference.  Conferences are being scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 12 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. and Friday March 8, 7:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m..

Because our teachers work with so many students, we cannot hold a conference for every student. This is why we begin our parent conference scheduling process by having teachers schedule conferences with those students identified as having academic and/or behavioral needs. Our teachers began requesting conferences with parents on Tuesday, February 12.  If you have not heard from your child’s teacher at the time you receive this letter and would like to request a conference with an individual teacher or team of teachers, please contact your child’s teacher directly by e-mail or by phone to request a conference. You may also contact the counseling office at 717-361-7525 ext. 31725 to request a conference. Please try to request your conference by Monday, March 4 so that our teachers can prepare to meet with you.

As we all know, it takes a collaborative approach with school and home working together to ensure the greatest success for your child.  We are confident that our spring conferences on March 7th and March 8th will provide information on your child’s strengths and areas of emerging skills.  On behalf of the faculty and staff of the Elizabethtown Area Middle School, we are looking forward to working with you to make this a wonderful school year for your child.  If you have questions beforehand, please contact the school counseling office at 717-361-7525 ext. 31725 or any of your child’s teachers directly.
