Dear K-5 Families,

In order to best prepare our schedules and staffing for the 2021-2022 school year we need the FINAL DECISION of the instructional model you are interested in for your child(ren).

As a reminder, our expectations for the fall are as follows:

  1. Our schools will be open for in-person instruction five (5) days a week. Etown Cyber will continue to be available for all families wishing to utilize this option.
  2. Staff and students will not be required to wear face coverings while at school.
  3. Staff and students will not be required to be vaccinated in order to work or attend school.
  4. Staff and students who wish to wear face coverings as a mitigation measure will be permitted to do so -- but that will be a personal choice.

IMPORTANT: On July 6, 2021, the district was notified by the Pennsylvania Department of Education that under the Federal order issued in January 2021, the CDC requires face coverings, regardless of vaccination status, when on public transportation -- this includes on school buses operated by public and private school systems.

Please review the survey below which contains the learning options being offered in the district. This information is specific to grades K-5 and looks different at the upper grade levels.

We appreciate your initial response to the preliminary survey sent in May. However, ALL FAMILIES must complete this survey. This feedback form serves as your FINAL DECISION for the first trimester and is due by Monday, July 19, 2021.

If you have specific questions about the instructional models or questions about next year please reach out to your child(ren)'s home building principal for the 2021-2022 school year.
