The student work is on display at the Winter Visual & Performing Arts Center (60 W Cottage Ave, Millersville, PA 17551). An “Artist Reception” was held at the center in early November for the students and their families.

The purpose of the Studio for Students Youth Art program is to acknowledge and inspire student commitment to the arts, to offer students the opportunity to present their work in a gallery setting, and to increase understanding and appreciation for the arts among members of the community.

The Elizabethtown Area School District offers an array of visual art courses that seek to maximize the creative potential of our students and help them become artists in their own right. Providing a well-rounded education with opportunities and experiences in the arts have proven to create positive outcomes in the academic, social, and emotional well-being of students.

In September, the Pennsylvania Art Education Association (PAEA) recognized the Elizabethtown Area School District for their outstanding commitment to visual arts education with the endorsement Outstanding Visual Arts Community 2019. One of PAEA’s award criteria is “Highly Visible Programs” like the Millersville exhibit.
