Chromebook Distribution - Summer 2021

Dear Parents/Guardians,

The Elizabethtown Area School District is excited to share that students entering 3rd, 4th, and 10th grade for the 2021-2022 school year are scheduled to receive a New Dell 3100 Chromebook device as part of the District’s 1:1/Personalized Learning Initiative (see distribution dates on the .pdf link below). In addition to the Chromebook, included items in the EASD Student Chromebook Package will be a carry case and power supply. Our goal in providing Chromebooks to our students is to enhance learning. This endeavor focuses on transforming the way students learn, empowering them with technology access that enhances learning and creativity. Research suggests that in a 1:1/Personalized Learning computing environment, students are more engaged and take a more active role in course instruction. Students will be able to use the Chromebook to conduct research, collaborate with classmates, problem-solve, and connect with others as only access to technology can allow. Accessibility of 1:1/Personalized Learning computing in the classroom places focus on instructional practices rather than the tool itself.
