EASD Salutes 19 Retiring Staff

April 18, 2019- Elizabethtown Area School District recently held its 2019 Staff Retirement Banquet. In total, nine retiring faculty members, nine retiring support professionals, and one administrator were saluted for their dedication and service to the district. Combined they have 496 years in education with 441 of those years with the EASD.

The retirees, most recent position, and years of service to the Elizabethtown Area School District are as follows:

  • Linda Ahern, athletic director, 44 years
  • Kenneth Archer, high school counselor, 10 years
  • David Bell, custodian, 11 years
  • Christine Bradley, high school English teacher, 33 years
  • Linda Brosey, middle school special education paraprofessional, 24 years
  • Darla Donley, middle school administrative professional, 20 years
  • Phyllis Emery, elementary music teacher, 30 years
  • Deborah Houseal, sixth grade teacher, 26 years
  • Donna Johns, paraprofessional, 22 years
  • Gina McCurdy, first grade teacher, 30 years
  • Sonya Miller, elementary learning support teacher, 15 years
  • Sandra Moore, custodian, 15 years
  • Laura Parkins, elementary instructional aide, 30 years
  • Marcia Price, elementary instructional aide, 17 years
  • Cathy Schildt, elementary instructional aide, 30 years
  • Julie Shar, first grade teacher, 18 years
  • Mary Sirk, elementary special education instructional aide, 30 years
  • Terri Speece, middle school mathematics teacher, 28 years
  • Margaret Thilo, elementary learning support teacher, 21 years
