August 14, 2018- The Elizabethtown Area School District invites the greater-Elizabethtown community to a presentation titled: RETHINKING LEADERSHIP. This engaging evening is open to our parents and interested community members and will focus on student empowerment. It will be held August 21 beginning at 6:15 PM in the Elizabethtown Area Middle School Auditorium.

The keynote speaker is Michael Swenson from the renowned Franklin Covey Institute. Dr. Swenson will share strategies designed to help ensure the Elizabethtown Area School District is fostering an environment where our schools are filled with students who are responsible, who show initiative, who are creative, who know how to set goals and meet them, who get along with people of various backgrounds and cultures, and who resolve conflicts and solve problems.

Dr. Swenson will share the reasoning behind teaching leadership habits to all students, an overview of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Students, and practical application tips for families to apply the strategies and ideas being taught at school in their own homes. We are excited to bring this opportunity to all families and interested community members as we continue to prepare our students for the 21st century and beyond.
