EAHS Students Perform at All-County Band Festival

March 17, 2022- The Lancaster-Lebanon Music Educators Association (LLMEA) selected Elizabethtown Area High School band students Kathryn Barraclough, Emma Creason, Carissa Dyer, Dominic Hemsch, Carissa Horst, Ava McAlonis, Isak Motter, Elaina Smith, Lily Troutman, and Noa Williams to its 2023 All County Band.

Creason, clarinet; Hemsch, percussion; Horst, flute; McAlonis, flute; Motter, trumpet; Smith, flute; Troutman, Alto Saxophone performed with the symphonic band. Barraclough, flute; Dyer, clarinet; and Williams, trombone performed with the wind ensemble.

As members of this prestigious ensemble, the students from Elizabethtown performed with talented student-musicians from around the county at the 2023 LLMEA Music Festival. The festival was held at Warwick High School. The symphonic band was led by Dr. Michquelena Potlunas-Ferguson, Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at Pennsylvania State University. The wind ensemble was led by Gary P. Gilroy, Director of Bands at California State University in Fresno, CA.

LLMEA is an organization comprised of music educators from public and private school districts in Lancaster and Lebanon counties and is dedicated to supporting the musical arts in many ways, including sponsoring annual music festivals for high school band, chorus, orchestra students, as well as middle school band and orchestra students.
