March 16, 2023- The Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) selected Elizabethtown Area High School violinist Jake Dunn for its highly competitive (PMEA) District 7 orchestra. This year’s festival was held at Cumberland Valley High School over two days in late-January. Dr. Pete Wilson, who served in the White House as string section leader of The President's Own, was the guest conductor.

Students were selected for this prestigious ensemble through a blind audition of orchestra teachers across District 7. The ensemble consisted of talented string musicians from high schools in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Franklin, Perry, and York counties. While at the festival, the students auditioned for a part in the PMEA Regional Orchestra.
