November 22, 2022- Bainbridge Elementary School held its first-ever school-wide Day of Play today. This unique celebration allowed students to pick what, when, how, and who they play with without adult input. Day of Play promoted the importance of unstructured, regular play for children.

As part of the program, students could choose to build structures, read books, play classic board games, and much more. The only guidelines were to have fun, keep it safe, and clean up when finished. The point of Day of Play was to showcase how much children can learn through play and collectively as a school share in the joy of discovery and creativity with their classmates.
