EAHS Theater Productions presents Little Women On-Demand
April 21, 2021- Elizabethtown Area High School is proud to present its spring musical Little Women. Performed live earlier this spring to a limited audience, EAHS's production of the Tony Award nominated musical is now available on-demand for the entire community to view.
Based on the American novel “Little Women” by Louisa May Alcott, the musical follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo is trying to sell her stories for publication, but the publishers are not interested. Her friend, Professor Bhaer, tells her that she has to do better and write more from herself. Begrudgingly taking his advice, Jo weaves a story of herself and her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America.
With lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, music by Jason Howland, and a script by Allan Knee, Little Women the musical embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a viewing filled with laughter, tears, and a lifting of the spirit.
"Lots of love went into bringing this show to the stage despite all the odds, but this year we learned that Some Things Are Meant to Be," said EAHS musical producer Christine Blaisdell. "This cast, crew, and orchestra are truly ASTONISHING!"
