Unity Day is part of a larger district-wide effort to stamp out bullying in our schools and community. The District’s Leader In Me program is offered K-8 and addresses the diverse social, economic, emotional, and family backgrounds of our students. This internationally-recognized program is built around acclaimed author Steven Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The Leader in Me program focuses on helping students learn to develop healthy relationships with peers and make responsible decisions, thus creating an environment that supports not only academic learning but also social-emotional learning and future success as adults in our communities.
