  • EAMS students take part in local Band Fest

    Nine Elizabethtown Area Middle School band students recently took part in the 2019 Lebanon Valley College Middle School band festival. The students, all seventh graders, were selected based on their teacher’s recommendation for demonstrating outstanding musicianship.

    The Elizabethtown Area School District has named William Templin its new athletic director. Templin has been employed by the district since 2004. For the past 14 years, he has served as a high school learning support teacher.

  • Giving Tree Program Supports Local Families

    To help brighten the holidays for families in need, the Bear Creek School recently held its annual Holiday Giving Tree program. As part of this annual tradition, the school’s faculty, staff and students as well as community members purchased suggested gifts for families who could use the help this season of giving.

  • PMSS Group presents $5,000 to Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation

    The Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation recently received a check for $5,000 from the PMSS Group, Inc. The funds will be used to support foundation initiatives such as its educational classroom grant program, agribusiness program at the high school, and the career and workforce readiness initiative.

  • EAMS Announces First Trimester Honor Roll

    Elizabethtown Area Middle School principal Dr. Nate Frank has announced the honor roll for the first trimester of the 2018-2019 school year. For students to achieve honor roll they are required to attain a 92% average overall with no grade lower than 83% in any subject area.

  • Bear Creek Students To Participate in Music Festival

    Fourteen students from Bear Creek School were selected to participate in the 2018 PMEA Youth Honors Band Festival, which was held Nov. 16-17 at New Oxford High School. This prestigious festival is for fifth and sixth grade band students and includes students from eight counties (Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York) in South Central Pennsylvania.

  • E-town Students Named National Merit Semifinalists

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Sean Brown, Alexander Caylor, and Ryan Minnich are among 16,000 semifinalists in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. This prestigious designation placed Brown, Caylor, and Minnich in the top one percent of all U.S. high school seniors and among the highest scoring entrants in Pennsylvania.

  • Athletic Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Set For October 12

    Elizabethtown Area High School will induct 2 former student-athletes and one coach into its Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday, Oct. 12 at a special ceremony. To be enshrined that day will be Chris Campbell (Class of 1985) and Brad Limpert (Class of 1999), as well as the late long-time coach Donald “Jake” Shearer (Class of 1953).
