East High Street Elementary School recently celebrated the writings of its second graders by holding its annual Young Authors Tea.
A check for $15,000 was recently presented to the Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation by the Masonic Village at Elizabethtown. The donation will support the foundation’s educational classroom grant program.
EASD held its annual staff recognition banquet on April 16 to salute employees for exceptional achievement and dedication to students and the district. In total, four faculty members and eight support staff members were honored for their outstanding service.
The locally owned The Cellular Connection (TCC), a local retailer of Verizon Wireless, recently completed its Teachers Rock campaign to benefit students in the Elizabethtown Area School District.
The Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation recently received a check for $5,000 from the PMSS Group, Inc. The funds will be used to support foundation initiatives such as its educational classroom grant program, agribusiness program at the high school, and the career and workforce readiness initiative.
Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the nation. This year's theme is "Life is Your Journey. Travel Drug Free." In partnership with Elizabethtown Area Communities That Care (EACTC), all student's in the Elizabethtown Area School District will be participating in and celebrating Red Ribbon Week starting Monday, Oct. 22.
The EASD will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Friday, Nov. 9 to honor our community’s military veterans. The service will begin at 10:30 a.m. in Elizabethtown Area High School auditorium.
At the beginning of each school year, Elizabethtown Area School District holds Back-to-School Parent Nights at each of its school buildings. Back-to-School Parent Nights are a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to meet the teachers and administrators, to see their child’s classroom and special area rooms, and to learn first-hand valuable information to make the school year a success.
