Mrs. Nicole Sheehe ~ 5th Grade Humanities Teacher
Welcome to fifth grade! My name is Mrs. Nicole Sheehe and I am so glad that you will be in my language arts and social studies classes this year! I absolutely love teaching and look forward to coming to school each day! It is my hope that you will enjoy coming to school and my class too! I have taught both fifth and sixth grades for the past thirteen years. I grew up in Lancaster county and went to school in the Hempfield School District. My undergraduate degree is from Elizabethtown College where I received a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. In addition, I have a master's in Educational Development from Wilkes University and a certification in Urban Education from Temple University.I have a lot of experience with various types of learners from many different socioeconomic backgrounds, learning styles, and needs. In my classroom, I do not allow students to fail. Together, my students and I work hard to set measurable and achievable goals. Additionally, we track our progress in our leadership binders as we work towards reading and writing goals. It is amazing to see the growth that my students make each year! In our classroom we celebrate each other's successes and differences.My students and I get to know each other very well the first few weeks of school. I find that it is so important to build relationships with students, that way students can be comfortable in their learning environment. Once a student enters my classroom, I consider them to be one of my "kids" and I do my best to keep in touch with most of them over the years.
My Family. . .Family is very important to me! I am lucky to have a wonderful and caring family. My husband, Joel and I have three daughters named, Sienna (7), Fiona (5), and Bella who will be 1 in September.
