    EASD issues approximately 150 news releases a year, most about school-based stories, to several local publications including the Intelligencer Journal/Lancaster New Era, the Elizabethtown Advocate, the Press and Journal, the Elizabethtown Journal, and the Elizabethtown-Mount Joy Area Merchandiser.   • EAHS To Present The Musical Comedy Whodunnit CURTAINS March 8, 9 and 10

    Elizabethtown Area High School will present the musical comedy whodunnit CURTAINS on March 8, 9, and 10 at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium. There will also be a 1 p.m. matinee on March 10. The doors will open thirty-minutes before each performance.

  • Seventh grader Alaina Hellein Wins EAMS Spelling Bee

    Elizabethtown Area Middle School recently held its 2018 spelling bee. The winner of the Bee was seventh grader Alaina Hellein. Hellein took home the victory by correctly spelling the word “conspicuous.”

  • EAMS students take home awards at Future City competition

    Nineteen students from Elizabethtown Area Middle School recently took part in the 2018 Future City Competition in mid-January. This project-based learning program challenged students to imagine, research, design, and build cities that could exist 100 years in the future.

  • EAMS students take part in local Band Fest

    Nine Elizabethtown Area Middle School band students recently took part in the 2018 Lebanon Valley College Middle School band festival. The students, all seventh graders, were selected based on their teacher’s recommendation for demonstrating outstanding musicianship.

  • EAHS to hold Winter Athletic Recognition Day

    Elizabethtown Area High School will hold its Winter Athletic Recognition Day on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 3 p.m. in the high school auditorium (weather makeup day Feb. 8 same time, same location). We invite friends, family, coaches, teachers, teammates, and classmates to this special celebration that will recognize the achievements and commitment of our student-athletes.

  • Rheems Elementary School holds “Souper Bowl”

    Rheems Elementary School recently collected 261 food items as part of a school-wide "Souper Bowl" food drive to benefit the local food bank. The campaign was timed to coincide with National Football League’s Super Bowl and helped to restock the shelves of the local food pantry after the holiday season.

  • Heroes vs Legends Basketball

    The Elizabethtown Area School District and GEARS are teaming up to support EAHS’s Mini-THON campaign and GEARS Camp Ladybug with the seventh annual “Heroes vs. Legends” charity basketball game. Now in its seventh year, the charity game has netted over $8,000 for local programs.

  • Seven E-town High School FFA Members Earn Prestigious Keystone Degrees

    Elizabethtown Area High School students Kirsten Becker, Nora Briggs, David Buckwalter, Haley Haver, Austin Kreiser, Maddie Musser, and Kendra Neideigh were presented with Pennsylvania Future Farmers of America (FFA) Keystone Degrees at the 2018 Pennsylvania Farm Show.

    Elizabethtown Area High School seniors Scyla Crozier and Erin Kraskewicz won awards in the 2018 Lancaster County Regional Scholastic Writing Awards sponsored by the Lancaster County Library.
