Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation

  • The Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation is a private, nonprofit organization that was established to provide a vehicle for individuals and businesses who want to supplement public education in the Elizabethtown Area School District. The foundation secures funding and awards monies to provide supplemental resources that enrich and enhance teaching and learning in the Elizabethtown Area School District and help prepare students for the 21st century. As such, the foundation makes funds available to professional and support staff by awarding educational classroom grants. In addition the foundation makes funds available to students pursuing a post-secondary education through its scholarship program.
     
    Funds awarded through the Educational Classroom Grant Program support creative and innovative programs in the areas of academics, the arts, and extra-curricular activities. Any Elizabethtown Area School District staff member is invited to submit an application for funding consideration under the Educational Classroom Grant Program. Grants are awarded for programs and services that supplement and are outside the normal operations of the Elizabethtown Area School District. Awards will be given to proposals that:

    • Provide an innovative and unique educational opportunity for a classroom or program in grades K-12 outside the normal operations of the district through teacher mini-grants;
    • Augment the curriculum being offered by the district in grades K-12 through curriculum enhancements;
    • Contribute to the area of extra-curricular activities that benefit district programs; and/or
    • Encourage the educational achievements of high school students by providing scholarships and financial assistance for the post-secondary education of qualifying graduates.

    Every school in the Elizabethtown Area School District can benefit from your donation to the Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation. Your contribution helps maintain EXCELLENCE in our schools by affording the foundation the opportunity to champion ideas that will accelerate and enhance learning for students. In addition, contributions can be given to the foundation's general fund or earmarked for a specific cause in one of these categories:

    • Academics
    • The Arts
    • Extra-Curricular Activities
    • Scholarships


    How Are Donations Used?
    Your donation is used to financially support creative and innovative programs in the areas of academics, the arts and extra-curricular activities that engage students and staff and that enrich and enhance the education offered by the Elizabethtown Area School District; EAEF also awards scholarship monies to students who pursue post-secondary education..
     
    Is My Donation Tax Deductible?
    Contributions are tax deductible as defined by the IRS Revenue Code; the Elizabethtown Area Educational Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.     Individuals and businesses are encouraged to support the Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation by making a donation to the private 501(c)(3) entity.
