Dr. Annette Spagnolo has been the proud principal of Bear Creek School, since it opened in August, 2011.   Dr. Spagnolo chose to be an educator because she feels every child should have the opportunity to learn in a safe and nurturing environment. Her goal is to encourage both parents and children to take an active part in education.  “ Education is a lifelong journey. The harder you try, the better the reward".


    She began her teaching career as a special education teacher at Newport Elementary School, which is in the Newport School District. Throughout her tenure with Cumberland Valley School District, Dr.. Spagnolo has been the Assistant Principal at Sporting Hill Elementary School, Early Childhood Advisor for the district, special education teacher and kindergarten teacher. She began working for Elizabethtown in March 2004 as an assistant principal at both Rheems and East High Street Elementary School.  Throughout her tenure here, she has been the principal of Fairview Elementary School and most recently East High Street Elementary School. Dr. Spagnolo is married and is a proud mother of a son and a daughter.  

    Dr. Annette Spagnolo is a graduate of West Chester University where she received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education. In 1995 she completed her Masters in Teaching and Curriculum with a specialty in Early Childhood Education from Penn State University, Harrisburg Campus. In 2000, she completed her Masters in Educational Administration from Shippensburg University. At that time, she also received her Elementary Principal and Early Childhood Supervisory Certificate. In May, 2011, she received her Doctorate in Administrative Leadership from Immaculata University.
