Mrs. Amy Secor has been a member of the Elizabethtown Area School District since 2010 where she began her work as the high school reading specialist. Shortly after joining the Elizabethtown team, she transitioned to the role of instructional coach. During that time she designed and delivered professional learning opportunities for secondary teachers, as well as teachers and school counselors in grades K-12. Her work empowered teachers to provide authentic learning opportunities involving the use of technology and life-ready skills for their students. In December of 2018, Mrs. Secor assumed the role of the dean of students of East High Street Elementary School. In June she transitioned to the role of assistant principal of East High.
Mrs. Secor’s education includes a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a concentration in Early Childhood Education from Millersville University and a Master’s degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Penn State University. Mrs. Secor has also earned her Reading Specialist certification, Curriculum & Instruction Supervisory certification, and most recently her Principal certification.
Mrs. Secor lives in the Lancaster area with her family. She is excited to return to East High as the new assistant principal of East High Street Elementary. She is looking forward to working with the East High students, staff, and families.
