Hall of Fame

  • The District is presently working to reconstruct its hall of fame. As such, we will not be holding an athletic hall of fame induction ceremony during the 2021-2022 school year. Instead, our goal over the next year is to put in place an expanded recognition platform that celebrates distinguished alumni who have benefited from their Elizabethtown education, as well as excelled in our various co-curricular, extracurricular, and athletic offerings. The District will release more details on how we plan to celebrate our notable alumni for their accomplishments and achievements as they become available.

The Elizabethtown Area School District Athletic Hall of Fame was launched in 2007 to honor and preserve the legacy of those who have excelled in the past and to inspire our youth to achieve greatness of their own in the future. The hall of fame gives special recognition to outstanding former student-athletes, coaches and supporters for their athletic achievements and/or contributions to the athletic programs that have had a profound positive impact on the Elizabethtown Area School District.

Supporting the hall of fame is a managing committee comprised of volunteers with an interest in Elizabethtown Area School District Athletics. Members of the managing committee are as follows:

    • Bill Templin
    • Richard Schwarzman
    • Troy Portser

The hall-of-fame managing committee is supported by a nominating committee. The nominating committee accepts applications each fall for induction consideration the following year. To qualify for induction, nominees must meet the following eligibility criteria:

The time period since receiving his/her diploma from the Elizabethtown Area School District has been at least five years.

Eligible athletes must have earned at least one varsity letter while attending the Elizabethtown Area School District.

Moral character, good citizenship, and academic performance during high school and post high school years shall be a consideration.

Although athletic achievement while attending the Elizabethtown Area School District is of prime importance, outstanding accomplishments after leaving the Elizabethtown Area School District will also be considered.

Applications for the EASD Athletic Hall of Fame are accepted anytime during the year. Hall of Fame criteria, eligibility, and nomination form information are available by clicking the link below:
