Welcome to the Elizabethtown Area School District student registration page. Whether you are enrolling a child in kindergarten, transferring from another school district, or registering a student returning to EASD, we are committed to making the registration process as smooth and efficient as possible.
The resources below provide information regarding student enrollment requirements, registration procedures, required documentation, and important deadlines. Please select the appropriate registration category to begin the process.
2026-2027 School Year
Kindergarten
For entrance to Kindergarten, a child residing in the district shall have attained the chronological age of five (5) years prior to September 1. (policy #201)
Step 1: Complete the online registration form (see link below).
Step 2: Gather your required documents for registration.
Step 3: Email Becky Greenly (see email address below) in the Student Records and Registration Office once you have completed your registration.
Enroll for the 2026-2027 School Year…Enrollment opens January 2026
Elizabethtown Area School District uses an online registration program that allows parents/guardians to input student information from their home, office, library or any other location.
When you have completed and submitted your online registration, the registrar will be in contact with you via email/phone. At this time, registrations will be completed virtually.
The following documents are needed to complete your registration:
- Child’s Birth Certificate preferred (please note, if birth certificate can't be produced, the District will accept alternate proof of birth (i.e. passport or notarized birth statement)
- Student’s immunization record. A list of immunization requirements can be found on our website.
- Photo ID of parent/guardian
- TWO Proofs of parent/guardian’s residency in the Elizabethtown Area School District.
- Custody Papers if applicable
- For safety and security purposes, provide a current photo of the student. The photo should be free from other individuals, and the child's face is clear and unobstructed (i.e no hats or sunglasses, forward facing)
If you do not have access to a computer, the Elizabethtown Public Library has computers for the public to use.
The District encourages families to register early. Early registration helps the District better plan for the upcoming school year, allocate resources effectively, and ensure a smooth transition for incoming kindergarten students. Additionally, early registration aids the District in coordinating its screening program for fully enrolled kindergarten students, which typically occurs in the spring and summer months.

All Other Grade Levels
Registration for students in grades 1-12 begins in February of each year.
The Elizabethtown Area School District utilizes an online application process to enroll new students. This process is only for students not currently enrolled in the District. Students in grades K-12 transferring between schools within the district do not need to complete an enrollment application but do need to follow the Change of Address process. To use this form, you must first have an active email account. Once you complete and submit your form, the registrar will contact you via phone or email to review your student’s online registration form. Keep in mind that the information you enter will be transmitted to food service, transportation, nursing services, and your child’s building. As such, the accuracy when completing this form is crucial to ensure a smooth start to your Elizabethtown experience. Prior to using the online application process, families are advised to have the required documents (see below) available to upload to the application.
The district will proceed with the registration of your child only if the below-mentioned required documents and a completed online registration form are submitted electronically to the Student Registration Office. It typically takes a minimum of three (3) days before your child can begin school once the online form and required documentation are received and finalized. Please be aware the District cannot proceed with your registration unless all of the above documents are presented. If you do not have a copy of the immunization record, you will need to obtain this from either your family physician or your previous school district. Your documents can be faxed to the Student Registration Office at 717-361-1842.
Please note, Kindergarten-age students shall be admitted to school only during the first two (2) weeks of the annual school term. Consideration will be given to kindergarten-age students who are transferring from another PDE-approved kindergarten after the first two (2) weeks of the annual school term (policy #201). Kindergarten-age is defined as having attained the chronological age of five (5) years prior to September 1 (policy #201).
Required Registration Information
- Immunization Record. A list of immunization requirements can be found on our website.
- Proof of Residency in the Elizabethtown Area School District. A list of accepted documents for proof of residency can be found in the Proof of Residency section below. We require two forms.
- Photo Identification of the parent/guardian (driver’s license or state-issued ID only)
- For safety and security purposes, provide a current photo of the student. The photo should be free from other individuals, and the child's face is clear and unobstructed (i.e no hats or sunglasses, forward facing)
Requested Registration information
- Copy of most recent report card from the last school attended
- Child’s Birth Certificate (please note, if birth certificate can't be produced, the District will accept alternate proof of birth (i.e. passport or notarized birth statement)
- Unofficial transcript for high school students along with class schedule
- Custody paperwork if you would like to share this with the school
- Documents from the previous school such as IEP, ER, NOREP, GIEP, and 504 Plan
