Staying Connected: Essential Communication Tools for EASD Families

At Elizabethtown Area School District, we believe that strong home/school relationships are crucial to the success of our students and schools. Communication plays a vital role in building these connections, and our Communications Department utilizes several online platforms to keep families informed:

In addition to these platforms, we use an automated messaging system to send important, emergency, and/or time-sensitive information via phone call, email, and/or text message. To ensure you receive these important updates, please verify that your phone number, email address, and textable phone number are up-to-date in your Community Portal account. Our automated messaging system relies on this contact information, so any missing or incorrect details may prevent you from receiving crucial communications.

Common uses of our Automated Messaging System include:

ACTION REQUIRED: To receive District messages via text, you MUST authorize your device by sending a one-time text of YES to 67587 from the mobile phone you wish to use. You should receive a reply message indicating a successful registration. Please note that if your mobile number is not entered in the student information system, you will not receive these messages. You can confirm your contact details by logging into your Community Portal account or by contacting your child's school office.
