Emergency Communications

The Elizabethtown Area School District is committed to providing timely, accurate, and reliable communication during emergencies and other situations requiring immediate attention. Whether responding to severe weather, safety concerns, transportation issues, or unexpected schedule changes, the District utilizes multiple communication channels to keep students, staff, families, and the community informed.

To deliver time-sensitive information quickly and efficiently, EASD uses the SchoolMessenger automated messaging system. Notifications may be distributed through phone calls, email messages, text messages, the district website, social media platforms, and other communication channels as appropriate.

To ensure you receive important notifications, families should verify that their contact information is current in the District's Student Information System. Families wishing to receive text message notifications must authorize their mobile device by sending a one-time text message containing YES or Y to 67587 from the mobile number listed in the Student Information System. Once registered, you will automatically receive future District text notifications.
