Elizabethtown Lions Club Donates $500 to Support EASD’s Facility Dog Program

The Elizabethtown Area School District is pleased to announce a generous donation of $500 from the Elizabethtown Lions Club in support of the District’s Facility Dog Program. The donation was presented this past weekend at the Rheems Car Show, where all four of the District’s facility dogs were in attendance.

Paul Lesoine and Dan Connelly, members of the Elizabethtown Lions Club, proudly presented the check to EASD facility dog handlers Nancy Grundhoffer, Kyle Symonds, Amy Robinson, and Beth Straw. These handlers work closely with the facility dogs, which play an essential role in supporting the emotional and social well-being of students throughout the District.

The Facility Dog Program has been a key initiative for EASD, providing comfort, companionship, and support to students. The donation from the Elizabethtown Lions Club will help fund the ongoing care and training of the dogs, ensuring they continue to make a positive impact on students’ academic and emotional success.

The Elizabethtown Lions Club has a longstanding history of supporting the school district, and this latest donation is a testament to their commitment to fostering a positive and supportive environment within our school community.
