On the morning of September 27, Elizabethtown Area School District showed appreciation for its bus drivers with a continental breakfast to recognize their essential role in supporting the District. School District Superintendent Dr. Karen Nell and other school officials were on hand to greet the drivers and express their gratitude for an excellent start to the school year.
EASD's Transportation Department and Krapf Bus Company coordinate approximately 170 daily bus runs, 2,700 bus stops, and transportation for about 6,000 students (combined AM and PM transportation), including non-public school students. School bus drivers ensure students arrive safely and on time, while also reducing traffic, making schools more accessible, and helping to lower pollution.
This school year, the District entered into a new partnership with Krapf Bus Company for school bus services. Krapf's extensive experience in school transportation, coupled with its reliable fleet of buses and drivers, is set to enhance our services significantly.
EASD appreciates the dedication of its bus drivers and their essential contributions to the District's success.
