Elizabethtown Area High School is thrilled to announce the appointment of Coach Tom Gallagher as the new Head Football Coach. With an impressive coaching resume and a proven track record of success, Coach Gallagher brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a passion for developing student-athletes to his new role.
Coach Gallagher served as the Head Football Coach at Blue Mountain High School from 2021 to 2024, leading the team to a 25-18 record, including three District 11 4A playoff appearances. His leadership and ability to inspire his players earned him the 2023 County Big School Coach of the Year award, a testament to his commitment to excellence both on and off the field.
At the heart of Coach Gallagher’s coaching philosophy is the “Above the Line” mindset that encourages student-athletes to strive for excellence in all aspects of their lives. He believes in instilling values such as discipline, integrity, and leadership in his players, ensuring they grow as athletes and individuals who contribute positively to their communities.
Coach Gallagher’s passion for football and dedication to fostering well-rounded athletes extend beyond high school. In 2025, he will serve as an Assistant Coach for Big Schools in Pennsylvania East, further cementing his reputation as a respected leader in Pennsylvania’s football community.
A former standout linebacker at Lebanon Valley College, Coach Gallagher earned four varsity letters and served as a two-time team captain. His experiences as a player continue to shape his coaching approach, enabling him to connect with and inspire the student-athletes he leads.
Coach Gallagher is eager to begin this new chapter at Elizabethtown, building on the program’s foundation and guiding the team toward success on the field, in the classroom, and in the community.
