Elizabethtown Area High School Brings Adventure and Laughter with The Pirates of Penzance

Elizabethtown Area High School is proud to present its upcoming production of The Pirates of Penzance, a swashbuckling musical comedy filled with adventure, romance, and unforgettable melodies. Performances will be held on February 27th and 28th at 7:00 PM and March 1st at 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM in the EAHS Auditorium.

This classic Gilbert and Sullivan operetta follows the story of young Frederic, who has spent his life apprenticed to a band of tenderhearted pirates. As he comes of age and seeks to leave his buccaneer past behind, he falls in love with the spirited Mabel and faces off against the delightfully eccentric Major-General Stanley. With fast-paced humor, lively choreography, and a talented student cast, The Pirates of Penzance promises to be an unforgettable theatrical experience for audiences of all ages.

With a cast, crew, and pit orchestra of over 100 students, this fresh take on a classic operetta promises to delight audiences with its dazzling choreography, stunning costumes, and memorable performances.

The cast is led by Seniors Brendan Fritz as Frederic, Scott Creason as The Pirate King, and Natalie Ott as the Sergeant of Police, Juniors Josephine Sirinides as Ruth and Makayla Weaver as Mabel, and Freshman Stephan Fasick as Major General Stanley.

The sound managers are senior Andrew Stoner and junior Dia Gilleland and Light managers are juniors Connor Dellinger and Ryan Siler. Stage managers are seniors Adrienne Crick, Emma Griffith, and Katie Lowell, and assistant stage managers are junior Olivia White and sophomores Adam Crick and Marjie Runkle. The pit is under the direction of Mrs. Corinne Kern.

The show is directed by Ms. Christy Blaisdell, Ms. Lauren Ritter, and Mr. Aaron Oliver. Vocal Direction is by Mr. Ben Fortier, Choreography by Ms. Elyse Hayden, and Technical Direction by Ms. Bella Myers.

The Pirates of Penzance is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Tickets for the production are on sale now and can be purchased at  https://tinyurl.com/EAHSPirateTix or at the door one hour before performances. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors. Cash and Check only at the door.
