Elizabethtown Area High School proudly recognizes Benjamin Dice as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for April. This prestigious honor is awarded to a Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) student who exemplifies outstanding work ethic, skill, and dedication in their chosen field.
Ben, a senior in the Welding Program at the Mount Joy LCCTC campus, is the son of George and Amy Dice of Elizabethtown.
Ben began his time at LCCTC as a junior in the Intro to Transportation program to gain hands-on experience working on cars. His interest soon shifted to welding, a skill he developed through projects with his grandfather. As a senior, he enrolled in the Welding program and currently serves as shop foreman. Ben’s strong performance in the program earned him a recommendation for an Advanced Placement Internship. He now works three days a week with Advanced Industrial Systems, gaining valuable experience in the welding industry.
Outside the classroom, Ben is active in Boy Scouts and is working toward earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He also helps on his family’s farm and supports a neighboring farm. His strong work ethic and commitment to learning continue to guide his plans for the future, which include pursuing a career in the welding field after graduation.
After graduation, Ben plans to continue growing his career in the welding industry.
