Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces Aubrey Powell as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for October. This distinguished recognition honors a Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) student who demonstrates exceptional work ethic, skill, and knowledge in their chosen field.
Aubrey, a senior at the Mount Joy campus of the LCCTC, is the daughter of Jason Powell and Amanda Robinson, both of Elizabethtown.
Aubrey’s passion for hands-on learning made LCCTC the perfect fit for her educational journey. Initially drawn to automotive work, she began her studies in the Introduction to Transportation program during her junior year. However, her curiosity and research led her to pursue a new direction—Welding Technology—where she is now fully immersed as a senior.
In addition to her coursework, Aubrey has served as a Student Ambassador at the Mount Joy campus for the past two years, helping promote leadership and engagement among her peers. Outside the classroom, she enjoys working on her car and balancing her responsibilities with a part-time job.
Looking to the future, Aubrey hopes to secure an Apprenticeship Program Initiative (API) or Co-op position in welding, aiming to gain valuable industry experience. Her ultimate goal is to build a successful career in welding while continuing to expand her technical skills.
