Elizabethtown Area High School announces its September Rotary Club Students of the Month: Adrienne Crick and Djemba NDikwe. This program celebrates and recognizes student achievements by sustaining a culture of learning and belonging that values academic success and raises awareness of student contributions to the high school community.
Adrienne is the daughter of Joan and Bobby Crick of Elizabethtown.
Adrienne has earned several academic accolades, including academic excellence awards from the high school faculty in Career and Finance, Net Sports, and Honors Chemistry. She was also inducted into the National Honor Society for exemplifying the four pillars of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Adrienne is deeply involved in numerous school activities. She serves as the overall chair for Mini-THON, the president of Key Club, and a member of the Human Rights Club, Bible Club, and Unified Bocce team. She also plays tennis, is the Stage Manager for the Theatre Department, and participates in both Etown Blues Rugby and the choir, where she serves as a section leader. Additionally, Adrienne is a Jump Start Mentor, helping younger students transition to high school life.
Outside of school, Adrienne is a dedicated volunteer. She is part of the Food Pantry team at Elizabethtown First Church of God and works as a camp counselor at Camp YoliJwa. She also balances employment as a pharmacy technician at Sloan’s Pharmacy and as a front desk personnel at Willowood Swim Club.
Adrienne is an active member of Elizabethtown First Church of God and East Fairview Church, where she regularly attends youth groups.
After graduation, Adrienne plans to attend a four-year college to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and eventually become a nurse anesthetist.
Djemba N’Dikwe is the son of Rosita and Danwe N’Dikwe of Elizabethtown.
Djemba has consistently excelled academically, achieving Honor Roll status and graduating from the Lancaster Chambers
Paths Program. Additionally, he has been recognized with multiple academic excellence awards from the high school faculty, including honors in Drawing 1, Drawing 2, Honors World History, General Science, Geometry, and English 10.
Djemba is highly engaged in school activities, actively participating in various clubs such as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Key Club, Science Club, and Bible Club. In sports, he competes in Varsity Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track & Field, where he proudly serves as Co-Varsity Cross Country Captain. His leadership extends beyond athletics; he has been a Jump Start Mentor, is currently a Link Leader Crew member, and is one of two seniors on the Superintendent Advisory Council.
In the community, Djemba has made impactful contributions, assisting at the GEARS Center during a community service day for the Paths Program. Additionally, he showcased his artistic talents by creating artwork for Penn State's Children's Hospital through his Graphic Design class.
Djemba has actively participated in various church and service activities, including providing food for the underprivileged through the "Lunch in the Park" program and chaperoning at Vacation Bible Schoo. He has also engaged in service projects like farm work, garden clean-up, and trash collection, as well as providing free water at the Elizabethtown Fair. Additionally, he has volunteered to offer fun and educational experiences for refugees in the Lancaster area.
After graduation, Djemba plans to attend a four-year college and hopes to run track and field at a collegiate level. Although his major is undecided, he is interested in pursuing a field related to art or marketing/advertising.
