The Bear Creek School Student Lighthouse Team recently demonstrated their commitment to community service and school spirit by organizing a successful fundraiser for the Four Diamonds Fund. During the week of December 2, the team sold candy grams for $1 each, raising an impressive $1,742 to support the high school's Mini-THON fundraiser, which will occur later this spring.
Thanks to a generous donation of candy canes from The Hershey Company, all proceeds from the sale could directly benefit the Four Diamonds Fund, an organization dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients and their families.
As part of the candy gram project, the students took on a variety of roles, showcasing teamwork and organizational skills. Responsibilities included:
- Marketing the campaign.
- Selling candy grams.
- Sorting them by grade level.
- Stuffing the candy grams with candy canes.
- Delivering them to recipients' classrooms.
The Student Lighthouse Team operates under three core values: helping everyone make good choices, supporting the community, and fostering school spirit. This project exemplified their mission, blending school pride with meaningful community impact.
Bear Creek School is proud of its Student Lighthouse Team for their dedication to making a difference and looks forward to their continued contributions to the school and community.
