Elizabethtown Area High School Students Named National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Students

Elizabethtown Area High School is proud to announce that Noa Williams and Jack Ketchum have been named Commended Students in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, recognizing their outstanding academic performance and exceptional potential for future success.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is one of the nation’s most prestigious academic recognition programs. Each year, approximately 1.5 million students enter the competition by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Noa and Jack rank among the top 50,000 scorers nationwide—placing them in the top three percent of U.S. high school seniors for academic excellence.

While Commended Students do not advance in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, this distinction is a significant honor, highlighting Noa and Jack’s dedication, intellectual curiosity, and commitment to learning. Their achievement reflects both their personal effort and the strong academic foundation provided by Elizabethtown Area High School’s teachers and programs.
