Elizabethtown Area High School Junior Daryn Roush Named LCCTC Willow Street Campus Student of the Month

Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces that junior Daryn Roush has been named the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center – Willow Street Campus Student of the Month. Daryn Roush

Daryn’s nomination comes from Mr. Nicholas Horn, LCCTC Welding Technology instructor, who describes him as a “natural leader” in the classroom and lab. According to Mr. Horn, Daryn frequently takes charge of group projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. His strong sense of responsibility and positive attitude set him apart, making him a role model for his peers.

In addition to his technical skill, Daryn demonstrates admirable character and volunteerism. When classmates struggle with an assignment or welding technique, he does not hesitate to pause his own work to offer guidance. His willingness to help others contributes to a supportive classroom environment, and his instructor notes that he is consistently a positive presence in the program.

The LCCTC Student of the Month program recognizes students from its three campuses—Brownstown, Mount Joy, and Willow Street—for their achievements in academics, technical skills, and personal growth. This program celebrates students who embody responsibility, perseverance, and professionalism, reflecting LCCTC’s mission to prepare students for successful careers and lifelong learning.
