Elizabethtown Area High School proudly announces that senior Alicia Pruitt has been named the Lancaster County Career & Technology Center – Mount Joy Campus Student of the Month. Alicia, the daughter of Luciana de Andrade of Elizabethtown, is being recognized for her exceptional leadership, strong work ethic, and outstanding commitment to the Advanced Health Careers Program.

Alicia’s nomination comes from Ms. Erin Maddox, LCCTC Advanced Health Careers instructor, who describes her as an exceptional student whose positive attitude, resilience, and professionalism stand out daily. According to Maddox, Alicia consistently demonstrates respectful and constructive participation in class, serves as a role model to her peers, and shows remarkable personal and academic growth.
Alicia’s dedication extends beyond the classroom and into her clinical work, where she has earned high praise from her co-op and internship supervisors. She recently received a notable commendation from an ICU supervisor for her quick thinking and calm response when assisting a patient who began seizing during clinical rotations. Her instructor notes that Alicia handled the situation with maturity, confidence, and sound judgment—qualities that reflect her strong potential for a successful healthcare career.
In addition to her clinical accomplishments, Alicia is recognized as a class leader whose professionalism and outstanding work set a high standard for others. Her perseverance, even in challenging situations, demonstrates her commitment to learning and her passion for the healthcare field.
The LCCTC Student of the Month program recognizes students from its three campuses—Brownstown, Mount Joy, and Willow Street—for their achievements in academics, technical skills, and personal growth. This program celebrates students who embody responsibility, perseverance, and professionalism, reflecting LCCTC’s mission to prepare students for successful careers and lifelong learning.
