Elizabethtown Area High School recently concluded Instant Decision Week 2025, held October 6–10, providing seniors with the opportunity to meet college and military representatives and receive on-the-spot admission decisions. The week also included informative sessions with military branches for students exploring alternative career paths.
Representatives from more than 30 colleges, universities, trade schools, and military branches participated, offering students comprehensive guidance on their educational and career options.
Highlights from Instant Decision Week 2025 include:
- High Student Participation: Seniors scheduled 167 appointments with colleges and military representatives—a 32% increase over last year—demonstrating strong engagement and interest.
- Outstanding Acceptance Rate: Ninety-six percent of participating students received acceptance offers, reflecting both their hard work and the support of school staff and visiting representatives.
- A Unique Opportunity: Elizabethtown Area High School is one of the few high schools in Pennsylvania to host an event of this scope, providing students with a valuable, streamlined path to higher education and career opportunities.
A sampling of participating institutions included Elizabethtown College, Lebanon Valley College, Liberty University, Messiah University, Millersville University, Temple University, Ursinus College, and York College of Pennsylvania, as well as representatives from the Air National Guard, Army National Guard, and United States Air Force/Space Force.
Instant Decision Week 2025 reflects Elizabethtown Area High School’s commitment to giving students unique, practical opportunities to plan their next steps after graduation. The school extends its gratitude to all participating colleges and military branches for their support and collaboration.
