The Elizabethtown Area High School Esports team will be represented on the state stage this weekend as its Marvel Rivals team and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate individual competitor Aaden Roush compete in the PIEA State Grand Championships on Saturday, May 30, in person at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, Pennsylvania.

The Marvel Rivals team is scheduled to compete at 4:00 p.m. and the match will be live-streamed at http://twitch.tv/PIEA_02.

The Marvel Rivals roster includes:

In addition, Aaden Roush will compete individually in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Should Roush advance to the final four, his match will be streamed live after 2:00 pm at http://twitch.tv/PIEA_03.

This marks the second straight grand championship appearance for Elizabethtown Area High School Esports. The program previously reached the state stage in 2025, when its Overwatch team captured the State Championship.

“Back-to-back Grand Championship appearances don’t happen by accident,” said Head Coach Austin Henderson. “These students have built something special through preparation, teamwork, and a commitment to competing the right way. Last year, our Overwatch team brought home a state championship, and this year our Marvel Rivals team and Aaden Roush have earned the chance to carry that standard forward. We are incredibly proud of them, and we can’t wait to see them represent Elizabethtown Area High School on the state stage at Mount Aloysius College.”

The state championship appearance highlights the continued growth of competitive esports at Elizabethtown Area High School and the commitment of its students to excellence in communication, strategy, leadership, and sportsmanship.
