EAHS’s Monisha Bhattarai named Lions Club Student of the Month
Elizabethtown Area High School is proud to announce Monisha Bhattarai as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for December. This honor recognizes an outstanding Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) student who demonstrates exceptional dedication, character, and commitment to her chosen career pathway.
Monisha, daughter of Prem and Mana Bhattarai of Elizabethtown, is known for her professionalism, kindness, and strong determination to succeed. Her teacher describes her as a calm, focused, and highly motivated student whose actions consistently reflect responsibility and leadership. She arrives prepared, in uniform, and follows all safety protocols while maintaining excellent attendance.
Monisha is in the Dental Assistant program at the LCCTC Willow Street campus, one of the center’s most rigorous offerings. Despite the demanding workload, including daily homework and extensive hands-on practice, she remains diligent, disciplined, and eager to learn. Her instructor notes that her commitment to furthering her education is truly inspiring and a testament to her belief that with hard work and determination, anything is achievable.
At the LCCTC, Monisha is gaining valuable hands-on experience such as making custom trays, taking x-rays, and developing foundational clinical skills essential to the dental field. She has also participated in activities through the Lancaster Chamber, further expanding her exposure to professional environments.
Monisha chose to attend LCCTC for the opportunity to engage in a program that supports her future career while still in high school. After graduation, she plans to work in a dental office and later pursue additional training to become an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA).
