Elizabethtown Area High School is proud to announce Carson Swanger as the Elizabethtown Lions Club Student of the Month for February. This honor recognizes an outstanding Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC) student who demonstrates dedication, character, and commitment to career-focused learning.

Carson, the son of Duane and Stacy Swanger of Bainbridge, is enrolled in the Electrical Construction program at the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center. He chose to attend LCCTC because of his interest in earning the opportunity to participate in the center’s co-operative education program, which allows students to gain real-world work experience while completing their training.
Carson credits much of his success in the program to his instructor, whom he describes as a supportive and effective teacher. He notes that balancing coursework and maintaining the academic requirements necessary to remain eligible for co-op placement has been the most challenging aspect of his CTC experience.
Outside of school, Carson enjoys spending his free time hunting and fishing.
Carson chose the Electrical Construction program to prepare for a career in the skilled trades, gaining practical experience and technical knowledge while still in high school.
