Students in grades ten through twelve in the Construction Technology program at Elizabethtown Area High School recently hosted a cornhole tournament on the school’s tennis courts, celebrating the culmination of a semester-long project in which they designed and built their own cornhole boards.
The event served as both a celebration of student work and a team-building activity to conclude the project. Throughout the semester, students developed practical skills in areas such as wood bending general wood working, machine operation, and safe tool use.
In addition to cornhole boards, students completed several other hands-on projects, including fishing landing nets, spinning tops, and handcrafted pens. These projects provided experience in precision work, design, and material handling.
The Construction Technology program emphasizes applied learning and craftsmanship, giving students opportunities to build technical skills through hands-on projects.
