Elizabethtown Area High School Celebrates Ten Student-Athletes' Commitment to Collegiate Sports

Ten senior varsity athletes from Elizabethtown Area High School were honored on May 8 at the Spring Athlete Recognition Day ceremony, surrounded by their families, teammates, friends, and coaches. The event marked a significant milestone as these exceptional athletes confirmed their commitment to play collegiate sports next fall.

Each student-athlete was spotlighted during the ceremony, proudly announcing their decision on where they will continue their athletic and academic journey. It was a moment of celebration, acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and extraordinary talent demonstrated throughout their high school athletic careers.

The following outstanding student-athletes were recognized along with their chosen sport and future institution:

  • Maggie Clouser: representing Lancaster Bible College in basketball
  • Alexis Cook: committing to play lacrosse at Kings College
  • Hayden Haver: joining Alvernia University's football team
  • Holden Haver: continuing his lacrosse career at Alvernia University
  • Jackson Kay: pursuing cross country and track at Messiah University
  • Bradley Kreider: running cross country and track for Messiah University
  • Seth Rajnic: playing volleyball for Messiah University
  • Emma Schneider: showcasing her talent in baton twirling at the University of Memphis
  • Jillian Wivell: competing in cross country and track at Gordon College
  • Julie Zook: playing softball at Moravian University

This achievement is particularly remarkable considering that less than two percent of high school athletes advance to compete at the collegiate level. Elizabethtown Area High School takes great pride in the success of these student-athletes, who have not only excelled on the field but also exemplified sportsmanship, leadership, and academic excellence.
