Bainbridge Elementary School Hosts Year-End "Sharpen the Saw" Day

Bainbridge Elementary School celebrated its annual "Sharpen the Saw" day on Thursday, May 16. "Sharpen the Saw" is one of the 7 Habits from The Leader in Me program, emphasizing life balance. This habit encourages students to find balance by taking care of their bodies through healthy eating, adequate sleep, and exercise; spending quality time with family and friends; learning outside of school; and engaging in meaningful ways to help others.

Throughout the event, students enjoyed an afternoon of fun and interactive stations. These activities were led by parent volunteers and high school students who previously attended Bainbridge Elementary. Each station was designed to promote fun, fellowship, and the renewal of mind, body, spirit, and heart.

A sampling of the stations included bubble making, water painting, obstacle courses, bombardment, cup stacking, parachute games, group storybook reading, mural making, and more. One of the event's highlights was the Kona Ice station, where students were treated to a complimentary Italian ice thanks to the PTO. Special thanks to Bainbridge Elementary physical education teacher Alix Hoerner for organizing the event.
