Big Ideas. Meaningful Impact.
The Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation’s Think BIG initiative is a competitive grant program that helps fund school-based projects designed to improve student achievement, strengthen learning, and address areas of significant need.
Think BIG—Building Impact Grants—places the people closest to students at the center of the process. Principals and their teams identify the needs and solutions within their school communities, then apply for Foundation support to bring those ideas to life.
A Partnership That Makes a Difference
Think BIG is made possible through a long-term partnership with Masonic Village of Elizabethtown.
For many years, Masonic Village generously supported EASD’s Teacher Mini Grant program, which focused on addressing systemwide barriers to student success. In 2026, that program evolved into Think BIG, expanding the opportunity for schools to pursue larger, schoolwide projects with the potential to create meaningful and lasting impact.
Through this partnership, the Foundation can support the priorities identified by the educators who know their students best.
How Think BIG Works
Funding is limited, allowing the Foundation and Masonic Village of Elizabethtown to make a focused investment in selected schools.
Through a competitive application process, two schools are selected to receive support over a two-year grant cycle. Projects are designed to increase learning, develop skills, and provide thoughtful solutions to the challenges and opportunities identified within each school community.
2026-2028 Think BIG Grant Recipients
Congratulations to East High Street Elementary School and Elizabethtown Area High School, the recipients of the 2026–28 Think BIG grants.
Beginning in fall 2026, both schools will launch projects supported through this two-year funding cycle. We look forward to sharing their progress and the impact of their work on students, staff, and the broader EASD community.
