Keystone Exams
Any student currently enrolled in Algebra 1, Biology, or English 10 will be taking the exam during the testing window. Students must take the Keystone Exams for purposes of federal accountability. Students who have taken the Algebra or Literature Keystone Exam previously, did not achieve a proficient score, and are currently enrolled in an English or math class may be asked to retake the exam during this time.
Act 158 of 2018 outlines pathways to graduation, starting with the Class of 2023. Students that attain proficiency on the three end-of-course Keystone Exams will have achieved the statewide graduation requirement. There are other pathways to graduation for students that do not require a proficient score on state assessments. Those pathways are outlined on the high school website.
