Meet the Assistant Superintendent

In August 2023, the Elizabethtown Area School District Board of School Directors unanimously approved Dr. Daphne Kirkpatrick as Assistant Superintendent. Prior to coming to Elizabethtown, Dr. Kirkpatrick had been serving for the previous nine years as the Director of Education for the Milton Area School District.

Dr. Kirkpatrick has extensive educational and leadership experience. Presently, she is responsible for evaluating positions, programs, and course offerings across her current district. She also coordinates the curriculum, instruction, and assessment efforts; directs the professional development, training, and growth programs for all staff; and monitors the ongoing evaluation of teaching and learning programs for the Milton Area School District.

In addition to most recent role with the Milton Area School District, Dr. Kirkpatrick has served as Acting Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology for the Midd-West School District in Middleburg, PA; Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology and Director of Technology for the Danville Area School District in Danville, PA. Dr. Kirkpatrick began her career in education as an elementary teacher for the Danville Area School District.

Dr. Kirkpatrick is a member of the American Association of School Administrators, the Pennsylvania Association of School Administrators, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the Pennsylvania Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the International Reading Association, and the International Society for Technology in Education.

Dr. Kirkpatrick holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Bloomsburg University, a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from Bloomsburg University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Pennsylvania State University. She received Supervisory Certification in Curriculum and Instruction from Bloomsburg University and completed the Teachers College Reading and Writing Project from the Columbia University Teachers College in New York, NY.

Required Postings

The board of school directors shall post the mutually agreed to objective performance standards contained in the contract on the school district's publicly accessible Internet website. Upon completion of the annual performance assessment, the board of school directors shall post the date of the assessment and whether or not the district superintendent and assistant district superintendent have met the agreed-to objective performance standards on the school district's publicly accessible Internet website.
