Logo - Official Usage Guidelines
To ensure brand consistency and integrity, the following guidelines govern the use of official logos associated with the Elizabethtown Area School District (EASD). These standards apply to all employees, district-related organizations, external print partners, and parent groups.
Section 1
Official EASD Logos
The following three logos, with defined color scheme options, are the only approved symbols representing EASD:
The Bear Logo (2 options)
Option 1 (Standard):
- Primary Color: Black
- Secondary Color: Blue
- Outer Border: Blue
Option 2 (Standard):
- Primary Color: Black
- Secondary Color: Blue
- Outer Border: White
The "E" Logo (2 options)
Option 1 (Standard):
- Primary Color: Blue
- Thin Inner Outline: White
- Outer Border: Black
Option 2: (Alternate):
- Primary Color: White
- Thin Inner Outline: Blue
- Outer Border: Black
The Paw Print Logo (2 options)
Option 1 (Standard):
- Primary Color: Blue
- Thin Inner Outline: White
- Outer Border: Black
Option 2: (Alternate):

Section 2
Usage Standards
- Only the official Bear, "E," or Paw Print logos may be used to represent the EASD, any of its schools, or any of its programs (e.g., sports teams).
- No unauthorized Bear logos, paw prints, or variations of the 'E' may be used in any capacity to represent the EASD, any of its schools, or any of its programs.
- The logos may be used on spirit wear, uniforms, equipment, digital platforms, print materials, promotional materials, merchandise for sale, advertising and sponsorship materials, social media posts, video or multimedia content, and press releases with proper approval.
- When using the Bear logo alongside another emblem (e.g., a baseball, football, musical instrument), the secondary image must not be copyright-protected or trademark-protected. If a copyright or trademark violation occurs, the individual responsible for the design assumes full liability.
- Logos may not be altered, stretched, distorted, or modified in any way that affects their original design and integrity. Any requests for modifications must be submitted in writing to the Director of Athletics or the Director of School and Community Information for review and approval.
- The official color schemes defined in Section 1 may not be changed. Any requests for color modifications must also be submitted in writing to the Director of Athletics or the Director of School and Community Information for review and approval.
- Any third-party vendor printing or distributing materials with EASD logos must adhere to these guidelines.
Section 3
Unauthorized Use
- No unauthorized individual or organization within our school system may use the EASD logos for commercial purposes unless explicitly approved by both the Director of Athletics and the Director of School and Community Information.
- No external individuals, groups, or organizations outside the school district may use the EASD logos in any form without prior approval from the Director of Athletics or the Director of School and Community Information. However, district-affiliated organizations such as the PTOs, Big E Booster Club, Music Club, and Elizabethtown Area Education Foundation are permitted to use the logos, provided they adhere to these guidelines.
- Any unauthorized use may result in revocation of usage rights and potential legal action for trademark infringement.
Section 4
Approval & Compliance
- Any questions regarding logo usage should be directed to the Director of Athletics or the Director of School and Community Information.
- Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in disciplinary action or legal consequences if trademark laws are violated.
- These guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect brand identity standards. The latest version will be maintained by the District Office.
