At the start of each school year, Elizabethtown Area School District hosts Back-to-School Parent Nights at each school. These events let parents/guardians meet teachers, tour classrooms, and get essential information for a successful year.
While the District does not offer before- and after-school programs, GEARS provides them on location at Bainbridge, East High, and Bear Creek Elementary Schools for grades 1-5, and offers Kindergarten services at the GEARS Kid Center.
The District will mail bus route information 1-2 weeks before the school year begins. The letter will include your child's bus number, stop location, and pick-up and return times. Once received, please review this information for a smooth start to the school year.

Students entering grades 5 and 9 and new students in grades 2-12 for the 2024-2025 school year will receive a Chromebook as part of our 1:1/Personalized Learning Initiative. This initiative enhances learning opportunities. Summer pickup is available and preferred.

The District encourages all families to review Free and Reduced Lunch income eligibility and apply if they may qualify. The online application opens on August 8, 2024, and is quick and easy. Families must apply for benefits each year, even if they received them in the past.
We aim to offer a diverse range of high-quality books for all students, including titles for young adults with mature content. If you prefer your student not check out certain books, please complete the opt-out form. This will flag their account and restrict access to those books.
